Notice Me
You’re not what I usually go for
But for some reason I wanted more
I just don’t understand it
No not even a little bit
But when I saw you that night
It was an amazing sight
I had no idea what to say
Hopefully it turns out okay
I bought those silly clothes
Wore that smell cologne
And shaved my dirty face
All for you
I bought those silly clothes
Wore that smell cologne
And shaved my dirty face
All for you
To notice me
Whenever I try and talk to her
I get so nervous and shy
She is something special
That no one can deny
I bought those silly clothes
Wore that smell cologne
And shaved my dirty face
All for you
I think tonight is the night
She is going to notice me
I am wearing those silly clothes
Put on that smelly cologne
I shaved my dirty face tonight
All for you
I’m wearing those silly clothes
Put on that smelly cologne
I shaved my dirty face
And finally tonight
You noticed me -
Here is an awesome cover one of our friends did of our “Holiday Song.” Please check him out at his facebook. His name is Paul Feist and he is a genius when it comes to making sweet beats!

Boys Don’t Cry
Last night we played at Bethany University. We decided we would do a few covers for fun tonight. It was our last show for the semester, and we just added Kelley Weeks to the band this week, so we wanted to debut her before school got out. After hours of deliberation actually like 2 minutes, we decided to play Friday by Rebecca Black, and a Cure song. We couldn’t determine which one though. Jeremy and I wanted Boys Don’t Cry because it’s our favorite, so we went with that one. I wouldn’t know how Ironic my decision was until a few hours later. Our sound check didn’t go as great as I would have hoped, but as they say the show must go on, and trust me it did. There were about 200 at the show, and we wanted to do Boys Don’t Cry first. Halfway through the song my computer fell off the music stand and almost broke. Unfortunately I didn’t know the words by heart so that is why I needed the computer. So while everyone played I made up some words while I picked up the computer and got the words back up. The crowd clapped and cheered, but man was it embarrassing. Then we finished our set with Friday a fan favorite at BU. But once again I forgot the words in the chorus. I focused so much on the verses that I forgot a few lines in the Chorus. They cheered and seemed to have enjoyed themselves. But I had just felt that I didn’t do my best, and let the band down. It was ironic because just like the song, I tried to laugh about it cover it all up with lies. I tried to laugh about it hiding the tears in my eyes, cause boys don’t cry.

A Unique Show
This past saturday I was in Arizona for spring break and while I was there I went to a local coffee shop with a friend of mine. It just happened to be that a band was playing there that night, and the owner of the coffee shop asked if I would like to open for them. I said sure why not, what is the worst that could go wrong. So I played a few songs, and the crowd of 30 plus people seemed to enjoy it (well sort of). If I would have known who I was opening for I probably would have declined the offer. I opened for a band called The Ancient Whalers. They are a western-shanty, punk rock band. And that is what the people were waiting for. Not a kid from Santa Cruz, California playing indie acoustic music. The Ancient Whalers were great though. I really enjoyed their music and their style. The lead singer rolled his own cigarettes, and played half the show with a child’s vocal transformer. The lead guitar player looked like Jack Black with blonde hair, and had a huge Crocodile Dundee knife on his hip. The back up guitar/ accordion player looked exactly like Johnny Cash. The bass player had huge combat boots, and could not weigh more then a 120 pounds at 6 feet tall, and the M. Night Shyamalan twist was the bongo player was wearing a polo with a sweater vest, and slippers. It was the most unique show I have ever played that is for sure.
